    25 m. Luca di Grassi has been racing within the GP2 Championship since 2006. In 2007, he completed second within the championship, behind solely his present teammate Timo Glock. In each 2008 and 2009, he completed third.

    L. di Grassi began his European profession in 2003. In 2004, the Brazilian took two victories within the British Components 3 Championship, however completed eighth within the remaining standings. In 2005, he completed third within the European Components 3 Championship, behind Lewis Hamilton and Adrian Sutil.

    In 2008, di Grassi examined the Components 1 equipment of Renault and Honda. Final season he was a check driver and reserve driver for Renault.
