South Korean GP Yeongam
The South Korean GP is held at the Yeongam circuit, designed by the renowned Formula 1 architect Hermann Tilke.
The circuit is 5.6 km long and consists of two parts. The first, a permanent 3.045 km long circuit, will be used for all lower class events, such as local car or motorcycle races. “For the Formula One round, an additional section is being added, which will stretch along the future business centre district and the yacht-filled waterfront.
Yeongam is not only distinguished by its superb scenery, but also by the fact that the drivers will have to drive on it in a counter-clockwise direction. “There are currently only a few similar circuits in the Formula One Championship – in Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Turkey.
